About the Author
If you’ve happened upon my site, you may be wondering who Cheryl Forshey is, and what type of writing that I do. I am best known for my inspirational short stories penned under the name, Cheryl Costello-Forshey; some of which you may be familiar with. Stories such as, Daddy’s Day, Making Sarah Cry, The Most Beautiful Flower (just to name a few) and others which you can find by clicking on my Heart Impressions link. Although I’ve included those fictional stories for you to read, the main purpose of my website is to share with you a different sort of story; the stories of my life as a Christian.
When starting this journey of sharing my Christian life with others, I found myself unsure of where to begin. Blogging was something that I’d heard of, but was all new to me. Social media of any kind was unfamiliar territory. I didn’t have Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram or any other avenues where people connect, and yet I felt God nudging me to start blogging about my life as a Christian. Me, a flawed individual who’s messed up more than I dare to admit. I found myself internally saying, “Yeh right, sure God, I’ll get on that right away,” knowing that I was completely unqualified to do what He was moving me to do.
It was then that God’s inaudible voice spoke to my heart, reminding me that it was the brokenness within me that qualified me to do exactly what He was asking me to do. He wanted me to use my imperfect life to show others the goodness of a God who is willing to forgive us, even when we feel that we don’t deserve it. And that’s what Cheryl’s Christian Crossroad is all about. It’s to show anyone who believes that they will never be good enough for God to love them, that He already does.
If what I am saying has sparked your interest, I hope you will join me through this journey called life, and come to the realization that being imperfect is perfectly okay because God’s love for each of us is unconditional.
