About the Author

If you’ve happened upon my site, you may be wondering who Cheryl Forshey is. Given the type of stories that I am best known for, I am considered to be an inspirational author. You may be familiar with some of my more popular stories, such as Daddy’s Day, Making Sarah Cry, The Most Beautiful Flower and Fingerpaints and Crayons (to name a few). Stories that were penned under the name, Cheryl Costello-Forshey. Although I am still that person (hopefully able to continue inspiring others through my stories) you perhaps may notice a difference in my writing. In the past, my stories have been mostly fictional (loosely based on truth), but what you will read here (on my blog pages) are all true.

This blog is about the many crossroads that I (as a Christian) have faced. I still will include those stories familiar to me as a writer, which you can find by clicking on my Heart Impressions link.

Blogging is all very new to me. Social media of any kind is unfamiliar territory. I don’t have Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram or any other avenues where people connect, and yet I felt God nudging me to start blogging about my life as a Christian. Me, a flawed individual who messes up quite a bit. So why me?

Unsure of what I could possibly offer to anyone, it was God who reminded me that my brokenness was exactly what qualified me to do this. My imperfect life could be used to show others, the goodness of a God who is willing to forgive us, even when we feel that we don’t deserve it. My blog is for both Christians and non-Christians alike. After all, we all mess up, and whether or not we care about God, He cares about us. He is always there to forgive us when we screw up, and as you read through my posts, you will clearly see that I screw up, a lot.

If what I am saying has sparked your interest; if you are a Christian in need of a faith boost, or someone whose wanting to establish a relationship with God, but don’t know where to begin, please join me through this journey of blogging.

The stories you will read here are meant to encourage you. Some of them may make you laugh, while others may make you cry. Regardless of what you are feeling when reading them, they are meant to show you exactly what a real Christian looks like, flaws and all. Most importantly, they are meant to help you see that being imperfect is perfectly okay because you are cared for by a God whose love for you is unconditional . . .
